Default Blake Green - ESL

Set to be announced as a Hull Kingston Rovers player in the coming days I believe. So please, could some tell us about him? He is to link up with Michael Dobson.

He's a great tough player. Been a great utility for the Bulldogs this year. He can play in the Halves, Hooker and even in the Backrow. His best position in my opinion is the No. 7.

Very sad to see him go, as I'm a fan of his.

So we have snapped up a good un then?
Also, reckon he will wear the number 6, and how do you think he will link of with Dobson?

Our 5/8 here at the Bulldogs has been injured most of the year and Green played in the No. 6 for a large number of weeks. In my opinion, although he was safe... he was never creative.

He played outside Brett Kimmorley (Who in my opinion is probably the best player a 5/8 can link up with), and he never really offered much.

He does however have a great kicking game, passing game and is also a sound defender.

I'm not too sure how he'll link up with Dobson. The last time I saw Dobson playing was when he was at the Raiders and I never rated him to be honest. Going by what I've seen from Dobson playing in the NRL, I can safely say you're getting a better player in Green.

He's a very very good player. Very tough.

He has done a great job for us this year but next year he wouldn't be near our 17 unfortunately.

He can play centre, five-eighth, halfback, hooker, second row and lock and do a top job in all of those positions. Never puts a foot wrong, terrific defender, good kicking game, sharp passing game. Over all a more than solid player.

From what I've read on the BBC Forum, I wouldn't believe anything in the Hull paper. I'm not saying he isn't going there but I'd wait till I heard it from his mouth. So who's leaving to free up a quota spot? Vella retiring?

The last time I watched Robins I think they had Ben Galea in No6 so Blake Green is probably better than him. I think KR have too many utility players already. They'd be better off with specialists playing the same position every week. I like Clint Newton, but, as a centre?!?!?!?

Don't rate him as an nrl half, he's a reserve grader at the moment. Dobson is much better.

Go Rovers!

So you rate our side as having several utility players based on a handful of games?

Here is our starting 13, for your viewing purposes:

1 Shaun Briscoe
2 Peter Fox
3 Jake Webster
4 Kris Whelam
5 Liam Colbon
6 Scott Murrell
7 Michael Dobson
8 Mick Vella
9 Ben Fisher
10 Joel Clinton
11 Clint Newton
12 Ben Galea
13 Liam Watts

The only player playing out of position is Scott Murrel who is more of a utility player than anything. Newton played centre cos at the moment we are missing four centres! Get your facts right mate.

And regarding the quota places, Ben Galea and Clint Newton qualify to count as Federation trained now, along with Mick Vella and ben Fisher, so we can accomodate two more overseas players next year, and the coach (Morgan) has confirmed that we will sign either Blake green or another target, and it wasn't even in the Hull paper!
